Tony Stark Finally Battles The Real Mandarin In New MCU Fan Trailer
While they never got to fight in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a fan trailer imagines Iron Man fighting the real Mandarin. The MCU has come a long way since the early days of the first Iron Man movie in 2008, with an endless amount of iconic Marvel heroes and villains coming to life on the big and small screens. To this point, Iron Man is one of the few characters in the MCU to have ever gotten a completed trilogy before Robert Downey Jr.’s massive finale in Avengers: Endgame.
Even though Tony Stark had an unforgettable journey, one of the big Iron Man sins in the MCU is that the iconic Avenger never got to fight the real Mandarin. While Iron Man 3 had a controversial way of going about it, KR Presents recently shared a new MCU fan trailer showing Iron Man finally getting to take on the real deal.

Even though Mandarin and Tony will not have a big showdown anytime soon, there has always been speculation on whether or not Iron Man 4 can ever be a possibility. The Multiverse Saga has been working on fleshing out some of their more recent characters while also introducing the next generation of superheroes to replace players like Iron Man. To this point, Marvel Studios have shown no signs of wanting to undo their decision to kill off Tony in The Infinity Saga, meaning the chances of Iron Man 4 are incredibly slim.
However, with rumors floating around that the MCU is going for a soft reboot through Avengers: Secret Wars, there is always the chance that Iron Man 4 could happen with Tony but played by someone other than Downey Jr. In a hypothetical situation, Iron Man 4 would likely follow Tony at a younger age while also allowing the MCU to tackle new stories for the iconic hero in whatever version of the franchise remains after The Multiverse Saga is finished. However, with many details being kept under wraps about Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, time will tell where the MCU is going in the future.
While it makes sense that many people want to see more adventures with Iron Man, it is also key to remember that Tony had his tenure, with his story being one of the stronger ones in the MCU. Having the franchise now follow other characters is both healthy and productive for the MCU to allow itself to flesh out its world. But for now, time will tell if Iron Man will ever return to the MCU in any capacity.
