A major twist has emerged in the Tahnee and Ollie break-up.
The pair, who became fan favourites during the 2023 season of Married at First Sight, split in December after a 16-month relationship.
And now Tahnee, 27, has responded to rumours she initiated the split after unfollowing her one-time beau, 26, on Instagram earlier this week.
‘I don’t want to comment too much on the details of this,’ she told Yahoo Lifestyle on Saturday.
She continued: ‘I’m focusing on moving forward and closing that chapter of my life.
‘I’m sure anyone who’s gone through a breakup can relate to not wanting to see their ex on their feed.
‘I just wanted to protect my peace and remove myself. We shared some great memories from our time together and I’m sad it didn’t work out.’
It comes after the couple’s announcement of a split sent shockwaves among their followers, while insiders claim the break-up was anticipated by those close to the duo.
Sources reveal that despite sharing a living space, Ollie and Tahnee have been leading increasingly separate lives.
‘They worked out they would be better off as friends and felt too much pressure with everything that came on the back of MAFS,’ an insider shared, suggesting that the intensity following their reality TV fame contributed to their decision.
Fueling speculation, both have been noticeably absent from each other’s various social events and milestones.
Ollie’s recent Instagram posts documenting his birthday and other outings conspicuously lacked Tahnee’s presence.
This social media silence from one half of the couple added to the growing belief that their relationship was on the rocks.
Tahnee’s recent solo appearance at the TikTok Awards offered another clue that the relationship had gone south.
